Immortalised as the big Texan tourist who wanders into a nest of Dunedin hipsters in classic Clean video ‘Beatnik’, David Telford was a veteran character actor whose screen career spanned three decades. Along the way the Cantabrian brought his dramatic and comedic skills to McPhail and Gadsby, classic Otago goldmining tale Illustrious Energy, End of the Golden Weather, and Xena. Telford passed away in September 2010.
