Aspiring cricket commentator Jeremy ‘Newsboy' Wells came to fame as television sidekick to Mikey Havoc in shows Havoc and Newsboy's Sell-Out Tour. In 2003 Wells co-created and began presenting long-running satirical show Eating Media Lunch. He later brought his wry presenting style (dial turned to 'deadpan') to The Unauthorised History of New Zealand, endemic doco series Birdland, and orchestra doco The Grand Tour.
I love doing the show. I love it. But I’m not the show. I’m just the presenter.
– Jeremy Wells on Eating Media Lunch.
