John Carlaw has more than 30 years experience as a producer, director and writer. He spent 23 years working in the UK, for the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. Two of his documentary series (A View from the Top, on the life of Sir Edmund Hillary, and Revolution, exploring the social and political upheavals in NZ in the 80s) were voted Best Factual Series at the NZ Film and Television Awards.
