Actor Kerry Fox made her feature debut in An Angel at my Table, playing writer Janet Frame. The role won her acting awards in Spain and New Zealand. After making The Sinking of the Rainbow Warrior Fox departed for a busy career overseas, including Uncle Vanya adaptation Country Life, and a lead role in hit thriller Shallow Grave. In 2001 she won the Berlin Film Festival best actress award for Intimacy. Fox's other Kiwi roles include wartime drama The Last Tattoo, and The Ferryman.
