History enthusiast Paul Gittins was a key player behind popular docudrama show Epitaph, hosting and sometimes directing over three seasons. As an actor, Gittins has done extended shifts on Shortland Street, playing clinic boss Michael McKenna. He also plays father to the main character in two award-winning films directed by Ian Mune: The End of the Golden Weather, and The Whole of the Moon.
I discovered that our history was raw and vital and full of incredible stories.
– Paul Gittins, on working on television series Epitaph
