Former stuntwoman Sara Wiseman went directly from performing-arts school to acting in crime series Street Legal. She is best known for starring as doctor Nicky Somerville in the popular Mercy Peak. In 2000 Wiseman won an acting award for short film dystopia Letters about the Weather.  After starring in psychological thriller Luella Miller, she acted in Outrageous Fortune and played the title role in movie Jinx Sister - for which she was nominated for another NZ Film and TV actor award.
