Shirlie Lambert arrived in New Zealand in 1986 with her partner Keith Lambert. They set up Morningside Productions together and Keith created the Open Door series to give community groups a voice on television. Following Keith's death in 2007 Shirlie continued to produce and direct Open Door - and one of her episodes, "Road to Recovery", received a Special Media Award at the The MHS Mental Health Conference in 2008.
An inspirational program which, through effective collaboration, is able to convey vital knowledge and hope regarding mental illness, the road to recovery, and maintaining mental wellbeing.
