I’ve been a fan of this film since I was a kid, when it was new. My father obtained a VHS tape copy in the United States many years ago, although I don’t know how. I’m not sure if there is a DVD available either in New Zealand or the United States, but I imagine there must be. The movie is also available for rent/purchase on Amazon.com, and is viewable on Amazon Prime, and I have seen it there most recently. Your best bet to find it is probably there. I was sad to learn that Catherine “Cathy” Godbold, who played Alex Archer’s rival Maggie Benton in the film, passed away within the past year after a long fight with brain cancer. She was only in her 40’s. She was a favorite of mine, and I wish she were alive so I could thank her for playing Maggie in the movie, a cherished memory of my childhood.

I was an extra on this film when I was 18, and appear on it right at the end when Alex walks out after being called many times to the pool. She walks past me on the grass on her way to the pool. My 3 seconds of fame.
If anyone knows where I can get a copy pleeeeeease let me know. I'd like to see it again! I saw it only once, at the movies the year it came out!!!

Is there anyone, ANYONE who has a copy of this movie or access to it somewhere? It's out of production and the book is one of my favorite of all time.
