Henna on My Hands is the story of a young Indian woman, a man and an arranged marriage. It is about Nalini Chhima, an Auckland-born Indian woman and accomplished classical dancer. Nalini travels to Navsari, India to prepare for an arranged marriage. Like her parents, Nalini thinks an arranged marriage has a better chance of surviving than a love marriage. This story follows Nalini's emotional journey, and her desire to please her parents and be true to her culture.
