Hi, I'm Charlotte's dad.
Charlotte is doing very well now.
She is at school and has begun to walk in her prosthetic legs.
She has been offered a set of high-tech prosthetic legs *if* we can get to San Francisco.
Unfortunately our family cannot afford to do this at this time hence the request for donations at the end of the Inside New Zealand documentary, "Charlotte: A Life Without Limbs" that screened on TV3 recently and a follow up New Idea article.
These legs will make it much easier for Charlotte to walk and allow her to run around with other kids which she is desperate to do.
Anyone interested in learning more about Charlotte or wishing to make a donation is advised to visit her website http://www.babycharlotte.co.nz
We've had a large number of emails following the airing of the documentary and I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly thank everyone for their kind wishes and donations.
Charlotte continues to amaze us with her tenacity and good humour and while she obviously has many challenges ahead of her, she has the right attitude to make the most out of life.
