I consider it necessary that country calendar show a farm, especially a hill farm, where the farmer has had the foresight to restrict water runoff by tree planting and or terracing. NZ is unique in having such good weather for growing but I see few farms that consider runoff in heavy rain as important. Too many farms are subject to erosion and we see the results everywhere. Any land on a slope has to have some protection.

There are no plans to re-run this that I'm aware of, though it might appear on TVNZ's digital channels at some point.
If you are having trouble with the video, try using the low resolution version - switch by clicking the LO/HI button just below the video. It's still a big file, but a lot smaller than the Hi one.
