Gung Ho - Rewi Alley of China

An adventurer of the old breed. A great man.

Rewi Alley was a true ex-pat Kiwi, strength of character and gift to look beyond the prejudices. And perhaps very disillusioned with the NZ Govts history of treating the top GDP earners (Farmers) like excretions. Chinese are hard working and careful with everything, perhaps other countries could learn from these noble traits.
Personally I like my freedoms too much to ever want to live in China but hey who knows one day, we will all end up as servants to the Chinese anyway, so best to accept the future.
East becomes West and West becomes East.

Really? he is a good man? how do you know. don't forget CCp killed more people than any other dictators. You mean I should thank this man for helping ccp to rob my family and have us live through athe horrible time? That is kind of bs to me. YOu people should ashamed of him.

I have never seen this but learned of Rewi Alley in my years in University. He was a founder of modern China. I am glad I was able to see this.

It's a shame that I was student in NZ but did not know about Rewi Alley until yesterday watching China's CCTV program.
New Zealanders should be proud of him. He was a great man.
Your videos are great with clear and rare footage even CCTV do not have.
