God, do I remember this! Was only 11 at the time.
LOVED the theme tune too which was by Jean Michel Jarre (Equinoxe Part 4).
I will always remember the episode with the condors and the pan flute music that accompanied it while they flew about the mountains.

Gael Ludlow presented 'Our World' throughout the 1980s, until her departure in approx 1988/89.
The theme music to 'Our World', a long-running natural history documentary slot on TVNZ, was very popular with viewers in the 80s and 90s.

There is no wikipedia entry for this "Our World". My husband and I were sure this existed but without finding this particular site we would have started to doubt our recollections. Thanks for the memories, and to Brendon for the theme tune info :)
