Filmed before Sir Peter Blake took on the America's Cup, this documentary concentrates on the famed sailor's five turns at the Whitbread Round the World race — from crewing on a leaky aluminum boat in 1973, through to leading Steinlager 2 to a clean sweep victory. Bryan Bruce mortgaged his house to make this doco; the gamble paid off when his cellphone went crazy with prospective buyers as Blake sailed triumphantly into Auckland in the 1990 Whitbread. Interviews and an oceanful of onboard action provide many glimpses into Blake's leadership style.
