The voiceover launches a barrage of statistics ‘10,000 new citizens a year, half a million people in 10 years’ while depicting traffic lights, parking buildings, motorways, office blocks, blocks of flats, civic schemes, airport expansion, wharves, railways, the just completed Harbour Bridge, new suburb and so on, to convey a ‘feeling of restless energy’.
