At age 17 Dean O’Gorman starred in movie Bonjour Timothy. Around the same time he joined the cast of Shortland Street, part of a long list of screen roles that ranges from Young Hercules to The Hobbit. In this ScreenTalk, O’Gorman mentions Shortland Street — and talks about playing a gay character in When Love Comes, an idealised male on McLeod’s Daughters, a real life cricketer on Tangiwai - A Love Story, and a "rude prick" on The Almighty Johnsons.
