Director/writer/producer/editor/actor Hayden J Weal has worked on everything from Netflix projects to local commercials, in an eclectic mix of roles. For all his talents, perhaps Weal is best known for his ability to spearhead successful films without using traditional funding avenues. In this ScreenTalk interview, Hayden discusses the process of making low-budget projects, like web series About Last Night (2015) and movies Chronesthesia (2016) and Dead (2020). Talking points also include his rejection of 'hustle culture', the power of collaboration, and Back to the Future hero Marty McFly.
