Over 30-plus years on air, Shortland Street has clocked up its share of weddings. Here we spotlight some of the most memorable marriages: from the interruption of Kirsty and Lionel’s nuptials by a besotted Stuart, to the joining in matrimony of Dawn and Ali. Plus the long-delayed merger of Chris and Rachel, Maia and Jay’s pretty-in-pink civil union, and the "TV wedding of 2002" — Nick and Waverley's. It only took three goes and a kidnapping! Scotty and Shanti wed in a lavish Indian ceremony, while a hostage siege saw Dayna and George seize the chance for a last-minute union. The Topp Twins and Sol3 Mio perform at two of the weddings.
