Serial Killers - Full Series

Television (Full Length Episodes) – 2004

This seven-part comedy involves a group of soap opera writers, actors and the network they have to answer to. Stressed scriptwriter Pauline (Robyn Malcolm) deals with her ex and the rest of her unruly writing team — plus the demands of her patronising producer (Tandi Wright). En route, the team variously deal with pregnancy and scriptwriting software (episode two), a cast member's urge to appear more manly (episode three), orders to resurrect a dead character (episode four), product placement (episode five), a Māori actor wanting more creative input (episode six) and deciding which actor to fire (episode seven).

You think they're going to complete the bits of you that need completing, and love the bits of you that need loving, and protect the bits of you that need protecting, and then you work out that they snore and they fart, and fidelity is a concept applied only to stereo equipment. And then they knock you up.
– Pauline (Robyn Malcolm) complains about men, in episode three
