By the time she had graduated from Toi Whakaari, Chelsie Preston Crayford had acted in acclaimed short Fog and three movies, including starring in Home by Christmas (as her grandmother). She has gone on to play a cult-member (The Cult), Katherine Mansfield's lover (TV’s Bliss), and win a Logie for playing a crime-lord in Australia’s Underbelly. She is daughter of director Gaylene Preston and muso Jonathan Crayford.
My Mum was the director, so it was amazing to be able to work so closely together on a story we both knew so intimately. It was a once in a lifetime experience.
