Hori Ahipene

Hori Ahipene became a 90s comedy fixture with The Semisis — playing a Samoan matriach — bilingual sitcom Radio Wha Waho, and on a run of TV sketch shows: Away Laughing, Skitz and Telly Laughs. He also directed on the latter two series. Later Ahipene worked with Te Radar on Māori TV sitcom/chat show B&B. He has also acted on Outrageous Fortune and fantasy Maddigan's Quest, and on the big screen in Jubilee.

I always wanted to marry a wahine Māori – I just never thought it would be Hori Ahipene.
