With the movie Savage Honeymoon and TV's Outrageous Fortune, Mark Beesley established himself as the man to call when dealing with rough and tumble families from West Auckland. But Beesley has also dabbled in ancient Greece, the after life and rural New Zealand, directing episodes of Insiders Guide to Happiness, Mercy Peak and Xena: Warrior Princess.
He’s incredibly hard on himself and he’s not precious. He’s very open to collaboration, and listening to good ideas. He insisted on it actually.
– Savage Honeymoon producer Steve Sachs, on working with Beesley
