Legendary broadcaster Paul Holmes made his name in as a radio DJ and talkback host. In 1989 he won controversy on the first night of news and magazine show Holmes, after an interview with America's Cup skipper Dennis Conner. The show would continue to run on week nights for another fifteen years.
Broadcasting taught me everyone is intelligent. Everyone is good at something, everyone can express in the right environment and anyone can be eloquent if approached correctly.
