Theresa Healey first came to prominence in Alison MacLean's celebrated short film Kitchen Sink - but is probably better known for her five years as Nurse Carmen Roberts in Shortland Street. Her other TV roles include Mercy Peak, Go Girls and The Blue Rose. She investigated her Irish heritage in the documentary series Here to Stay. Healey also had leading roles in movies Jubilee and Savage Honeymoon.
... I think I’m a useful actor. And I love it. I’m not a great leader. I’m a really good team player. I love being part of a cast. I never wanted to be a star.
– Theresa Healey in The Listener
