Diplomatic Immunity

Television, 2008

In this gleefully absurd comedy, a disgraced diplomat (Craig Parker) is sent to sort out the Kiwi consulate of a (mythical) South Pacific country, Fe'ausi. Once inside the door, he faces off against an oddball collection of staff members, including its loquacious, unreliable ambassador (David Fane), a man-eating tourist liaison (Kayte Ferguson), a self-professed ladykiller (Mario Gaoa), and a corrupt 'albino' (John Leigh). Created by James Griffin (Outrageous Fortune, Serial Killers), the 13-episode comedy was given a 10pm time slot.
