Hōiho

Produced by Kapu Tï Productions with the support of Te Māngai Pāho, Hōiho travels the backcountry of Aotearoa to learn about the history of, and connection between, Māori and their hōiho. From Pawerenga in the North, to the mountains of Te Wai Pounamu, the series celebrates rural Māori communities and the importance of horses in their lifestyle. Produced by Michelle Lee (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungunu), the series premiered in 2012 and ran for three seasons. The series returned in 2022 under the name Hōiho - Riding On.
