Our Big Blue Backyard

Our Big Blue Backyard is a Natural History New Zealand production that explores the diverse marine environments of Aotearoa. From the south to the north, and a little further afield, the series captures the comings and goings in the habitats of New Zealand’s ocean wildlife. The first series of six episodes screened in 2014; their popularity with viewers ensured a second series in 2016. Series three (2023) was a NHNZ co-production with Canadian channel Love Nature, supported by Te Puna Kairangi Premium Fund.
