The Beths

Indie-rock band The Beths first formed at the University of Auckland's jazz school, during a wave of live indie music in the 2010s. Named after front-woman Elizabeth Stokes, the core line-up consists of guitarist Jonathan Pearce, bassist Benjamin Sinclair, and drummer Tristan Deck. After their 2016 EP Warm Blood led to an American record deal, the much-hyped debut album Future Me Hates Me earnt New Zealand music awards, international shows and a positive Rolling Stone mention. Since then, The Beths have released three more highly acclaimed studio albums, Jump Rope Gazers, Expert in a Dying Field, and Straight Line Was A Lie.
