YaHoo

Television, 1991–1995

YaHoo screened live on TV3, from a studio packed with children. In between overseas shows and cartoons, young viewers were offered games, contests, music and snack promotions. Many well-known faces dropped by, from actors to sports stars. The hosts included long-stayer Moana Maniapoto, Phil Keoghan, Stephanie Tauvehi and DJ Robert Scott. Among the show's regular attractions were lying contest League Lies, Celebrity Swap and the Curly Wurly Question. There were also live performances by everyone from Jan Hellriegel to the Axemen; in some early episodes, Pitch Black's Paddy Free was on hand each episode to provide the beats.
