Wow - a hundred years since Mansfield died.

A great mix of her fiction and her life

and the quotes from her letters.

No subtitles and the usual grind of background Muzak. I stuck it for 3 minutes.

It really is a very beautiful and eloquent piece, and Catherine Wilkin's presentation is wonderfully understated and languidly confident - she embodies that character coming through in KM's lines - I love the contrast between her low tones and that of Ilona Rogers lighter higher voice, adding texture. The lyrical shots of New Zealand seem far more personal that the shots (lovely still) of other countries, which I guess also sums up some of KM's own feelings. very much worth a watch. And I am new to KM's work!

I think this is the documentary that is shown in the KM house in Wellington.

I am glad that it has finally been posted.
