Actor Ilona Rodgers won fans as conniving magazine editor Maxine Redfern in beloved prime time soap Gloss; she followed it in 1992 with three seasons on Marlin Bay. Rodgers' career had began long before, in her native England. Along the way,  she has acted alongside Doctor Who and The Beverly Hillbillies, and worked everywhere from London to Melbourne and Queenstown.

Biography

Ilona Rodgers has battled hairy monsters on Doctor Who, mastered the bitchy putdown on Gloss, appeared on longrunning Kiwi soaps Shortland Street and Close to Home, and acted alongside Kiwi legends Bruno Lawrence and Billy T James.
