Danny Watson

A vocational chameleon who found his natural home in broadcasting, Danny Watson started in television after a flatmate saw a newspaper ad for beloved children's show Spot On. Later he joined the crew on another kid’s television classic: What Now? Watson’s natural energy was further harnessed across multiple seasons of junior sports show World of Sport and variety show Danny’s Cafe, plus a TV3 version of Candid Camera. These days Watson works in radio. For 15 years he hosted an afternoon talkback slot on Newstalk ZB; in November 2014 he presented live talkback from Scott Base in Antartica. In 2022 he joined new talk station Today FM.
