Spot On

Television, 1974–1988

Launched in February 1974, beloved children's show Spot On mixed up for adventure presenters, educational content and entertainment. Among the many co-hosts over the show's 14 year run were Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan, animation maestro Ian Taylor, director Peta Carey and radio DJ Danny Watson. Spot On's annual filmmaking contest attracted entries from emerging talents like Peter Jackson and Robert Sarkies. The award-winning show was created by Murray Hutchinson. Spot On producer Michael Stedman later became head of the Natural History Unit.
