Although he was born in Dunedin, Cameron Chittock grew up Christchurch. His childhood was "very sports-driven" — including a stint playing representative rugby for Canterbury. Best Contribution to Design: for the puppets in Meet the Feebles

“They wanted to do it low budget and I was a bit worried about that, because I knew from experience that making puppets is hard work. But anyway, they talked me into it ... that experience of having the opportunity to design the puppets for that film and lead the workshop was a major break for my career.”
