Emma Jolliff was a regular face on MediaWorks news and current affairs programmes for 12 years. Wellington-based Jolliff reported and presented for Newshub's nightly bulletins, breakfast shows Sunrise and Firstline, and Story. In October 2018, she began presenting weekly political show Newshub Nation with Simon Shepherd. Jolliff joined MediaWorks in 2007, after spending more than a decade working in Australia and the United Kingdom. Jolliff presented and reported for ABC TV and radio in Sydney, and produced talkback radio in Sydney and Melbourne. The mother of two died on 6 February 2020 from cancer.       

She was a fantastic journalist and loved telling stories. She considered it an honour to tell people's stories, and she did it so well. Newshub news director Hal Crawford on Emma Jolliff, 7February 2020
