Journalism graduate Mark Staufer first won fame as an 89FM DJ. After engaging in gonzo journalism on late night TV show Newsnight, he headed to Australia and became a co-presenter on Sex/Life. In the UK, he directed midnight movie slot Sci-Fright and helped run a cable channel. A multi-media book is in development; his screenplays include a biopic of comedian Bill Hicks, to be directed by longtime friend Russell Crowe.
