Rob Winch

Composer

Rob Winch — who died 8 August 2012 — could make a guitar sing in every shade and hue. The multi-instrumentalist and singer amassed 23 awards for his jingles and advertising work (eg. Cruisin' on the Interislander). Other compositions for the screen ranged from ski films (Turn of the Century) to TV theme tunes (a decade of Mitre 10 Dream Home) — plus the occasional drama, including the memorable guitars of Mark II.

The pictures themselves will suggest a tempo or rhythm. Rob Winch on composing for film – Evening Post, 6 November 1986
