Timmie Cameron

Actor

After visiting the set of The Chronicles of Narnia at age nine, Timmie Cameron knew she wanted to be an actor. A 2015 graduate of Auckland's Actors' Program, Cameron is best known for her role in Shortland Street. During four years as nurse Shereez Baker, she was involved in her fair share of dramatic plotlines: including being held captive in the bush while tramping, an ex-boyfriend attempting to bomb the hospital, and a stalker flatmate making a doll of her. Her other roles include Scandi-style crime series The Gulf, and euthanasia drama The Pact. In 2022 she won Best Supporting Actress in the NZ TV Awards, for her role in The Pact.

I could see Timmie developing as an artist before my eyes and it was a beautiful thing to watch . . . She has great skill and precision and poise; it's a really beautifully understated performance. Co-star Kate Elliot on working with Timmie Cameron in The Gulf, The NZ Herald, 22 August 2019
