Kapa haka exponent, politician, academic and educator Tā (Sir) Pita Sharples has been at the forefront of the Māori renaissance since the late 1960s. This Spotlight includes some of Sharples’ many television appearances in documentaries, panel shows and even as part of Prince Tui Teka’s 1983 Variety Show, performing with his kapa haka group Te Rōpū Manutaki.
