Dillastrate

Drummer–vocalist Henare "H" Kaa and keyboardist–beatmaker Tim Driver first met at Christchurch's jazz school before playing together in Aaron Tokona's AHoriBuzz. The pair later formed the two-piece Dillastrate, fusing live beats and synths into soulful electronica, often with te reo Māori lyrics. In 2017, they released debut EP Black Diamond, followed by a self-titled album in 2019 and the Ngā Pounamu LP in 2024. Dillastrate have been part of the Waiata Anthems series, with the song 'Ko Tātou Te Ahi' featured in 2023 and the following year 'Kei Whati Te Marama', which won the Maioha Award at the 2025 APRA Silver Scroll Awards.
