Doves of War

Television, 2006

This six-part miniseries revolves around a group of Kiwi ex-soldiers who were involved in a war crime, a decade before. The discovery of a mass grave in Bosnia forces ex-SAS sergeant Lucas Crichton (Australian Andrew Rodoreda) to revisit a past many would prefer buried. Also on the trail is a war crimes prosecutor. The action ranges from Europe to Auckland, Wellington prisons, a West Coast cult and Queenstown. Nominated for six Qantas Awards (it won for editing), it was written by Greg McGee (Fallout) and directed by Chris Bailey.
