Facelift - Series Two, Episode One

Television (Full Length Episode) – 2005

Gibson Group's sketch comedy series returns to skewer more politicians and other high-profile Kiwis. Beleaguered politician John Tamihere stars in several skits, which allude to his 2005 criticisms of fellow Labour Party members, and women as "front bums". Brian Tamaki faces the wrath of God, and dance show Dancing with the Desperate gets the prosthetic foam mask treatment — including contestants Nicky Watson and an enthused John Campbell (Cohen Holloway). Unusually for a TV show, Facelift opened up its writing pool to 50+ writers from across New Zealand.

Look, I’m just as normal as any other Kiwi woman who earns 250 grand a year, lives in a different town from her husband and listens to operas by Bellini.
