Documentary series From Spirit to Spirit showcases stories from the indigenous peoples of Aotearoa, Australia, Canada, Norway and the Kola Peninsula in Russia. Common themes of oppression, struggle, cultural resilience and celebration shine through. Renowned Māori filmmaker Merata Mita introduces each episode. The first episode explores the age old craft of raranga (Māori flax weaving). Other episodes include music from Sami songwiter Mari Boine Pierceson, 'raw desert rock n'roll'  from Aboriginal musicians, and a visit to the First Nations' Dreamspeakers Festival in Edmonton, Canada.
