Kia Ora Molweni

The George Andrews-produced series Kia Ora Molweni follows five rangatahi from kura kaupapa who travel to South Africa on a cultural exchange. Immersing themselves in the traditions and way of life with their host families, the students see the differences between life in South Africa and Aotearoa. Delivered predominantly in te reo, Kia Ora Molweni is one of a series of three, joining series Kia Ora Hola, where students travel to Chile and Kia Ora Ni Hao, with students in China. All three series aired in prime time and have had later reruns.
