Majic Pāora

[Te Aupōuri, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Whātua]

Reggae-roots artist Majic Pāora (MAJIC) has been a musician all her life, singing on her marae from as young as three years old and performing from the age of 12. By her mid-teens she had recorded at Bob Marley's studio in Jamaica, toured extensively and appeared at the Reggae On The River festival in the United States. In 2015 she released the song 'Mi Deh Yah'. Since then Pāora has released a number of singles, including 'Taku Mana' for the Waiata Anthems series, and develops music programmes for her Ngāti Whātua iwi. Pāora has also performed and recorded as part of the award-winning supergroup Mōhau.
