Profile image for OMC

OMC began life as Otara Millionaires Club, which included Niuean-Kiwi brothers Pauly and Phil Fuemana. The group contributed a rap track to Proud, a landmark Pasifika-flavoured collection of South Auckland music. Alan Jansson produced. By 1995 OMC was a vehicle for Pauly and Jansson. Melding trumpet, accordion and Fuemana's distinctive conversational vocals, 'How Bizarre' became one of the biggest singles by a Kiwi act. It topped the charts in multiple countries, including Ireland and the United States. OMC couldn’t follow up that success, although later singles showcased the duo's range. Fuemana died on 31 January 2010; he was 40.
