REED.

Sasha Te Whare began recording and releasing music as REED. while studying at the Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand (MAINZ). Blending smooth vocals with alternative R&B and pop influences, REED.'s first solo single 'Never Be' was released in 2020, and six-song debut EP She's A Mixtape in 2023. Te Whare attended the 2024 APRA Reo Māori SongHubs, writing his first te reo Māori track, 'Murimuri Aroha', which was featured in the Waiata Anthems series that same year. The song was shortlisted for the APRA Maioha award at the 2025 Silver Scroll awards. Te Whare also performs in the four-piece band Muri.
