Serial Killers

Television, 2004

Created by Outrageous Fortune writer James Griffin and based on his award-winning play of the same name, Serial Killers satirises the makers of a Shortland Street-like soap opera. Making up the underappreciated writing team are the straight-talking Pauline (Robyn Malcolm, who won an NZ Screen Award for the role), who is divorcing the soap's co-creator Alan (John Leigh); the sex-obsessed Simone (Kayte Ferguson); smart-arse Matt (Oliver Driver); and enthused trainee Elaine (Nikki MacDonnell). Mike Smith (SiegeWilly Nilly) directs.
