Through My Eyes

Television (Full Length) – 2007

I want to try to compress that feeling — of a storm, or thunder and lightning — that you can’t possibly put into one frame, but I try to. How can I put all that emotion into one image?
– Andris Apse
Stubbornness comes into it. I get to the point where I know I’m so close to getting a good photograph but the right things don’t happen, so I’ll, in some ways ... not lose my temper, but I think, ‘bugger it I’m not going to take this’.
– Apse on waiting for the moment
I'm not a shotgun photographer. I prefer to choose the angle I think best portrays a subject, and to stick to that one. Very seldom will I take a variation of it because I know that if I take three or four slightly different angles, that I’ll end up tossing the ones I didn’t want, and invariably end up with the one I started with.
