David Brechin-Smith has brought his scripting talent to a run of off-beat ensemble series. He received awards nominations for his contributions to Love Bites and The Strip; won a NZ Screen Award for high concept urban series The Insider's Guide to Happiness and after working on the prequel, went on to create flatting-and-law drama The Hothouse. He also co-wrote thriller The Cult, and new feature The Hopes & Dreams of Gazza Snell.
I'm scared of losing my imagination. That, and never getting another gig. You'd think that kind of fear would motivate me to write as much as possible while I still can, but it doesn't seem to help.
